as ff has dissolved, theres no team in the world that could give tvs a close game on dm2 imo.

i know clans that can make tvs worst "dm2-nightmare" some true. clans that have beaten ff on dm2 every time they played. so... there is teams that could do that, belive me.

SIN: Tell me what clan it was that beated ff EVERY single time they played dm2? As I recall, they did not loose a single official map when they were active, so that mean that you are wrong. Still, they lost some maps - but in pracs only. And preacs means nothing, compare to official games.

And for the demo: This is the first NA demos that really impress me. Not because the players have "ff" skillz, but because this is the first demo that proves that they have got something good from us europeans. If I would rate this demo, from the scale "rookie-clan" to "flaming fist", then I'll rate this "an avarage european clan".

Personally, I think LiTHiUM is the best clan on dm2 at the moment. They really showed us (OC) what TP is all about in the semi finals in SD3/EU.

Anywho ... GG Both teams! And GG Def! Your SSG at [low rl] is a real "nailbiter"! (c) DIE-Haj

heh piglet, i think |L| has only gotten good on dm2 by having pracs with tvs. i dont remember them being too spectacular on it until this year.
i stand by my statement, no team can consistently give tvs close games on dm2.

heh, they even lost a whole game in Villains 1 to 4K :) Also 2 maps to E in SD2 finals, but apart from that not much.

IMO there are 5 teams which are all equally strong (can beat any of them on a good day) in Europe right now. The Viper Squad, Slackers, Lithium, Orkney and clan MalFunction. None of them is really better than the other but they turn out to be more consistent or not. Nate believes no team can give TVS constant beatings on dm2. Well, imo TVS are also the best team on dm2 IF they have a good day and play well. However, they quite often turn out to play not so good as usually.
As far as this consistence is concerned i would say Slackers are the best (maybe because most experienced players?), they always play about the same skill. CMF also differ a lot in their quality of play, OC and L seem more constant than them. Maybe it's just a Finnish problem, who knows :)

At their peak times FF were quite unbeatable, but now they're gone it doesn't matter too much if they can beat AG or not (i'm sure they, as well as some others, can).

This thread will most likely, if continued, turn out to be an "US qw sucks - no you're wrong, america 0wnz europe's ass" which we had more than enough of in my opinion :)

The demo is nice and just makes me more disappointed that i missed to watch the finals live :( Well, we still got our finals to be played one day (hopefully :) and i'm really looking forward to see more stuff like this.

anyway, to give my few cents to this discussion,i agree with andy about the equal skills of the teams he mentioned, however i find tvs and cmf to be slightly better than the other 3, which makes me feel a bit sad that neither one get to the finals...

ps, don't you agree that dm2 is _the_ best tp map in qw ?

Andy: Yes, they got beated by 4K (allso [E] and Spartacus, if i remember correctly), but that was not with the famous "FF lineup". As I recall it was Exile, Rainman, Gimp and Fain who played that game. When I said that "they haven't lost a single map" i meant that aKKe, Dag, Pietro, Exile haven'l lost a single map ...

ff was really gods gift on DM3 though. They had more troubles on dm2 than any other map.

actually, they were almost as good on dm2 as on dm2.. e1m2 was their worst map. (of dm3,dm2,e1m2)

and that's just a fact if you ever played them, or where/are somewhat active in the neu scene

Judging by the most recent official scores, Id have to agree with Natu. TVS beat both cMF (205-150) and Slackers (192-95) with a clear margin on dm2. In the whole SD3 cMF was the only clan that could give atleast somewhat a game to tVS (on dm2). I guess last time tVS lost an official dm2 round was that controversial sd2-ff game...
Only reason Slackers won over tVS was their incredible full start luck on the decider dm3 :P

oh, thats right! well i guess they couldnt play on lan or anything, but dag didnt play for ff either.
too bad tvs and ff never played a series on telenordia, both lanned, with 28 ping ;P
